Bidgood's "Endtimes"

Now I am a man who values his privacy. I am also a man who is known for, and has cause to voice his opinions on matters of import. I and others like me attempt to attract attention to causes and issues and therefore ourselves.

However, I abhor what I see happen (on TV) in relation to how the paparazzi for instance goes about its business . But in relation to the photo taken by Mr Bidgood my initial reaction was “what, you can get $1000 for a photo?” .

I might be cynical but ,the furore does a good job deflecting people from looking at the Rudd government's refugee and immigration credentials.

The reality is that if the media were there, and they were-they would have filmed. A media cameraman or photographer would have a duty to take such a photo. The ethics relating to publication of that film , if it would be published, would be addressed later.

However, in the ensuing furore my attention has been drawn to Mr Bidgood’s religious views about these being the “end times” . This is what I worry about , a man following the book to the end.

This fella is why I want no mention of god nor parliamentary prayers in the constitution or parliamentary standing orders.

How did this fella get in?
